Section Leadership Team
President — Cassandra R. Brown
President's Message
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as President of this dynamic section. Chartered in 2024 on the historic campus of Miles College, our section proudly carries forward the vision of our founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, who believed in the power of women to lead, uplift, and transform communities.
Our mission is clear: to empower women of African descent, their families, and communities through education, economic empowerment, health awareness, and social justice advocacy. In our first year, we have already begun to lay a strong foundation by hosting impactful programs that promote wellness, raise awareness, and encourage civic engagement.
As we continue to grow, we invite you to stand with us. Whether you join as a member, support our initiatives, or partner with us in service, your involvement strengthens our ability to make a lasting difference. Together, we can continue the legacy of NCNW advancing equity, inspiring leadership, and building a brighter future for generations to come.
With gratitude and determination,
Cassandra R. Brown
